Apple has created a brand that stands for quality and sophistication.  Because the Apple operating systems are only available on their computers and phones, their products are held in high esteem.  When people see the Apple logo, they know it is high quality, and that there’s a price to pay for that quality and exclusive product.

Now that Apple’s iPhone is in it’s fourth generation, it has become a lot more popular.  Now more people can afford the older models when bought new or used.  The iPhone is losing it’s sense of sophistication and exclusivity simply because more people can afford one.

The white iPhone 4 has the same operating system and the same features as the black version.  The only difference between the two is the color.  The color change is just for personal preference just as some people prefer a black coat over a brown coat, but it is an important preference for many people.
